Anyone else root for Eric Bana?
Adam Sandler's character seemed more detestable.

Yeah, the misunderstood Dad all the way. I got the feeling Sandler's character would be into her just long enough to realize the commitment of raising those kids full time is more than he could bear. He did not change much through his ordeal, he just did not want to die alone. Selfish, but naturally so.
