why are all apatow directed movies

feel like 2 different movies. the first half is always the funny stuff guys hanging out smoking weed and then the second half turns into a romantic comedy. it happened with 40yr old virgin and knocked up but it was more noticeable in this movie.

That's funny... I always thought all Apatow directed movies were just 2 hours or so of pop culture references and attempts to have hipsters spot how many different shirts Seth Rogen (an under-rated actor who's pretty good except for the whole "I talk too deep" thing he does) has from their inventory.
