im wondering the same, i thought it was awesome to hear him singing in a normal voice and i loved it.

I actually thought it wasn't him because I've heard him sing live and he can sing but he didn't sound good in the film...so I wonder.

It's definitely him. He sings some songs on the Blu Ray as well with the same band. (Not sure about the DVD)
