It's named Funny People because it's about comedians, aka funny people. But comedians are not always very funny in their everyday lives and can be depressed too. If it had been called "Funny Movie", you could bitch about it. Now, you're just missing the point so shut up.

Depressed People hardly works as a title. Funny People, as a title, still keeps relevancy to the fact that the film is about comedians. It's not supposed to be some typical mind-numbing Adam Sandler movie. He has done something different this time and people don't like it because it's not what they were expecting at all.
man, you didn't get the movie. Move on now. Stop crying. And I am not saying this because I liked this movie. I think it was very good but not perfect. The ending was sad but uplifting at the same time. That's kinda original. That's a part of a movie.
