If my friend had *beep* me out $1500/week I would have been livid. I was surprised Ira did that because the rest of the movie his character seemed like a pretty stand up guy. Except for when he got mad at his not girlfriend for banging his roommate, that was pretty lame...

Actually, it was very realistic. People struggling to get somewhere in the entertainment business do that kind of stuff all the time. Even nice guys like Ira. While I sympathized with Jonah Hill's character, what Ira did, did not make me like his character any less.
shareIra's two roommates weren't exactly sensitive to his plight and made fun of him pretty relentlessly. I'm not saying the snubbing wasn't wrong, but I feel it was understandable. If one of my friends who was slightly more successful than me had been a complete dick to me earlier that day, I might snub him for a good job offer that could help me later that day lol.
