Eminem

Eminem's paranoid cameo was the only time I laughed during this movie

Overal this movie was annoying. It's a drama, I get it, but I thought George Simmons ( Sandler ) was the most annoying unlikable jerk ever to appear in an Apatow movie

And he's supposed to be a comedian? Didn't laugh at any of his jokes. As a singer, what a lame song

Seth was giving nothing interesting to do, Apatow's wife was an idiot for falling in love with not one, but two jerks

and finale slapstick fight scene in her yard between Seth, Sandler and Bana was cringe worthy in its' staging and pointlessness

Apatow, dude, ouch. stay the hell away from drama. You suck at it.

i agree, awful movie that wasnt funny and even depressed me. the eminem part was just as bad, he acted like a smug jackass in it and i wanted to smack him back to the 8 mile.

Eminem's part was supposed to be the "aha" moment - the voice of reason. Problem was he sucked, can't act, wasn't funny, and was all emo crying about how he couldn't go out in public anymore. Who cares, you f-cking rich douchecanoe - boof-ckinghoo! Doesn't he realize how many people would kill to be where he is?! The Eminem bit was one of my least favorite scenes in this overall mediocre movie.

Eminem was reading lines from a script. That is not him. Yes he was playing "himself" but it was a parody.

How dumb can you get?

reply

I laughed at how he doesn't know who Ray Romano is and snaps at him. I thought that was kinda funny.

This is one of the most generic and dense comments you could make.

1)it was a fictional scene

and 2) even if it wasn't what is this retarded thing people have that celebrities aren't allowed to be unhappy because they are rich and other people would want to be in their position. You have no idea what experiences fame like that would be like.

What you just read was probably a bit of a rant. Sorry

I thought Eminem was hilarious. All those famous "funny people" in the movie, and the one guy who isn't a comedian was the funniest of them all.

I agree that Eminem's part was very funny... especially when he screamed at Ray. But I disagree with your verdict on the movie. I liked it, funny and clever.

I actually didn't think the Eminem part was that funny, but only because I had no idea who the hell he was. It wasn't until after I watched the movie that I was able to look it up and find out. The only amusing part of it for me was that this dude was paranoid as hell about not being able to go anywhere because people always stare at him, while if I saw him on the streets I wouldn't have given him a second look.

I did love the stand-up comedy bits, though. I watched the extended version, which apparently has a little more stand-up thrown in, and I enjoyed it.

Eminem was the funniest one in the movie. It should've ended right there with him getting into a fist fight with Ray Romano. Now that would be funny - kinda like how Barfly ends.
