Ira's Manhood

I been reading these forums, and people say Ira didn't have much character development. I think it is false because the whole movie was for Ira to stand up for himself and be a man instead of a wuss like he was portrayed until the end. He never stood up for himself and he even tries to avoid conflict by saying "I'm sorry" over and over. You can kind of tell from the beginning of the movie that he was a pushover, and even Leslie Mann's kids seem to look down on him and bullied him. Ira grew at the end when George fired him, but right before it Ira was trying to salvage the relationship by offering to drive his SUV. You could tell at the end of the movie he was much more calm and didn't rely on poop/penis jokes for his comedy routine.
