Randy and Daisy

Sorry if this topic has already been brought up-- I cannot figure out how to search a forum for a topic.

I heard so much about the character of Randy before this film. I heard a big interview about him on NPR and had high expectations. I get to the film and he has, like, 3 lines. Was his part supposed to be bigger and got cut?

And Daisy... ick. Couldn't tell if it was bad acting, or if I just didn't like her character. She had literally no personality, was not funny in any way, and I just don't see what anybody saw in her.

Was this the best movie I ever saw? No. But it was certainly worthwhile, and interesting enough to hold my attention. Made me think a lot.

Most of the Randy stuff got cut out. Try FunnyOrDie.com, or search Youtube for Raaaaaaaandy.

I thought Daisy worked well with/against Ira, but she didn't have much personality that we saw. She wasn't given enough time to flesh out her character though.

"Oh, my God. Bear is driving! How can that be?!"

Yeah, I agree about her, there was really nothing that attractive or appealing about her. She was already kinda aloof and defensive even before he asked her out, which kind of made me wonder why he even wanted to do so period. I also feel it was pretty disrespectful of her to sleep with his roommate, regardless of who he is. If I as a guy had asked out a girl--or more importantly, BEEN asked out by a girl, as happened here--then had a casual one-night stand with her roommate, sister, or friend beforehand, then I shouldn't be surprised or have much ground to stand on if the first girl felt a bit slighted and turned-off after finding out.
