German accent terrifying, REALLY?

I'm German and I think it just sounds funny when my fellow countrymen speak English with an accent. Does it really sound terrifying to Americans?

And what does IKEA have to do with Germany, it's from Sweden! Or is Europe all the same to you?

No, though I do see your point and I really found the scene of when
George visits his doctor and comments that he speaks with an accent
that reminds him of the terrorists in "Die Hard" really silly! One
of the dumbest scenes in the movie and it was not one bit funny!

There are bad guys in more than a few movies who speak English with German or vaguely German accents and look kind of like the doctor.

It's because sometimes Germans can sound a bit emotionless and cold.

But is it even specified that he's German? He could be Swedish or Danish or something else.

The German language can sound harsh to some, but I think it's a very interesting language. I also find women with German accents very sexy.
