It seems like everyone pretends this movie doesn't exist

Everyone always says Adam Sandler is a terrible actor, who only does terrible comedic performances. But then in Funny People, he gave a great serious and dramatic performance, but nobody ever mentions it. If he got just a bit of recognition for it, he probably would've done some more. But since he got none, he just went straight back to terrible comedy.

I caught this on TV last night haphazardly. I thought it was pretty good. Sandler is a good dramatic actor when he needs to be.

He wasn't good in this. He was pretty good in Reign Over Me, but not this
