I got to see this flick early since I work at blockbuster.
I think its got little to do with "stuck" besides the guy getting hit. It starts off good, gets messy in the middle but ends with some unexpected twists I had not predicted.

I flinched a couple of times when they were fighting. I liked the ending alot too.

It's a strange mix of thriller and horror genre elements, it did its job of entertaining me and kept me guessing in a few places
