Was that a hallucination because she was going nuts? or was it real. I'm thinking it was hallucination

I'm thinking it was a mental breakdown on the part of the director.

Who was going nuts? When they showed the shot of the phone with blood oozing out of it, it didn't show anyone looking at the phone. The wife called 911, the guy strangled her, she let go of the phone, he let her go, she went outside the room to check on her son, the guy sits back down looking at a distance, then the camera pans to the phone with oozing blood.

It wasn't a hallucination. It's not even worth a speculation.
IT SIMPLY DID NOT MAKE SENSE, AND THAT'S BASICALLY IT.

yeah i don't think it served any literal purpose, just something to add to the odd tone of the film

no i think the blood oozing out was a close up shot...(i just watched it 15 min ago) ( but am to lazy to go check agian)..it would have been a good way to END the movie..*shrugs* with that kind of shot
