When I think of a George Clooney movie, it's this one

I don't think I have ever seen him in anything else, except Dusk Till Dawn. Most of his stuff just does not appeal, but I think this is a Great Movie.

George Clooney is evidently extremely rich(like 100s of millions of dollars rich) from the movie career AND the selling of a tequila company he invested in.

But the fact of the matter is that his long movie career was marked by a lot of downbeat movies and a lot of movies nobody went to see.

One could say that he survived fine even without many hits, but I think he WAS removed from the movie of "The Man From UNCLE" around the time all his movies were flopping except a few:

The Ocean's Movies(in which he is flanked by many other stars, some bigger than he -- Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Al Pacino..even Matt Damon.)
The Perfect Storm(even Clooney said the wave was the star of that movie.)
The Descendants(a great emotionally involving story by Alexander Payne.)

But so often Clooney made movies peolpe didn't go to see:

The Good German
Leatherheads
Michael Clayton
The Men Who Stare at Goats
Up in the Air
The American
The Ides of March
The Monuments Men
Money Monster
Tomorrowland

Gravity was a hit, but his was a short part and the movie was really Sandra Bullock's.

I don't know if Up in the Air made much money, but talk about downbeat: a movie about firing people including footage of REAL people recently fired; a love story that goes nowhere, a tale about an empty existence.

George Clooney seems to have been a star in spite of the downbeat movies he often chose. Up in the Air was among the grimmest of them.

But he's very rich.

When I think of George Clooney, always his pet pig comes to mind.
He loved Max πŸ—β€‹ so much and when he died at an old age, Clooney's heart almost broke. πŸ’”β€‹

Better don't talk about delicious roast pork when George Clooney is around.
