As shown on Netflix...

Currently watching the series on Netflix, and have seen the first half-dozen episodes so far. The picture has a kind of "snowy" or "grainy" look that I'm pretty sure isn't the way it was shot. I have no picture problems on any other shows or movies on Netflix or any other channels, so it's not a problem with my tv or cable. I just wonder what the problem with Netflix's transmission of this show is.

I too watch it on Netflix and do not experience what you are describing.

reply

After the first half dozen or so episodes, I'm no longer experiencing it, either. I don't know what the problem is or was. I haven't seen it on any other shows or movies.

reply

That happened to me once on Netflix and it went away the next day. I assume it was just a temporary technical glitch.

reply

Yeah, probably.

The first season is shot on 35mm film so it appears very grainy, I believe the rest of the series afterwards was shot on digital. What you are seeing is completely normal.

reply

What I saw wasn't film grain. It was a technical problem, but fortunately it cleared up after several episodes, still well within the first season.
