Disgusting.

Jackie. Eddie. Dr Roman all disgusting human beings. What is the appeal?

reply

Dr. Roman grew on me some, Eddie and Jackie I didn't care for.

reply

Kevin was really vile, also. He had some MAJOR anger issues. Couldn't stand him towards the end.

reply

Kevin is a SAINT compared to Jackie and Eddie. His anger at Jackie and what she's done to the daughters is TOTALLY justified. He never even hit Jackie or the girls once so I think you exaggerate with your statement. I mean, the guy went to AA himself to show solidarity for Jax and she never went and lied to him constantly. And what man wouldn't get physical with a "friend" who showed up on your doorstep just to tell you he's been banging your wife for a year?

reply

The dramatic interplay is the appeal.

Also there were wonderful characters like Zoey and O'Hara to balance things out a bit.

reply

I like the Jackie character because she is a very complex person. She's someone with a great capacity for caring (which she shows with her patients) and a great capacity for selfishness as well. I find that that makes her a very interesting person/character.

This is one of those shows where you aren't supposed to completely like the character or even sympathize with them. It's like Walter from Breaking Bad. I hated him from the first episode, but I was interested in him and couldn't stop watching. I couldn't stop watching Nurse Jackie either. I wanted to know what was going to become of her. I kept hoping things would be different. When things were looking down for her, I was sad. She's not anyone I would ever want to be friends with, but I did care what happened to her.

Hey Lucas,

I understand your statement completely. Watching something like this show sucks all the life from me and leaves me drained. I really need something more from my entertainment.

Best wishes,

I hear there's a new Mary Poppins movie for you, Dave.
