Religous Pendant in Opening Credits

Is it Mary or the Infant of Prague? I can never quite tell.

I've always wondered why it was included in the opening credits along with Jackie's wedding ring and the pills. Was her wearing it ever explained?

The hospital's chapel certainly figures prominently in the series.

I'm almost positive it's the Infant of Prague. The crown and cape are easier to see when you pause the credits.

In episode 10, Season 5, a terminal patient mentions that she's wearing the Infant of Prague medal. Mystery solved! :)

Exactly! He later asks Jackie to perform the Last Rites sacrament for him.

It's definitely the Infant of Prague. Dr. O'Hara gave it to Jackie just before she moved to London. Dr. O'Hara wore it off and on for the first few seasons.
