Sweetie

Loved Nurse Jackie. Could not stand that she called everyone sweetie. To me it just came across as very condescending, (except when she was speaking to patients)
It seemed like she used this expression to show how together and in control she is It made me cringe.

I felt kind of sorry for her towards the end. Every time she seemed to get close to getting it together another one of her millions of lies would be exposed. She could not get clean or come clean because she'd end up losing everything including the one thing she took the most pride in; being a nurse.

It was hard to feel sorry for her though because she exploited all of her relationships. She wanted so desperately to be thought of as good, and she did do a lot that WAS good, but no matter how many good deeds she did she would just as quickly throw anyone under the bus to save herself.I think the only person she didn't attempt to use/screw over was Thor, but I may be mistaken about that.

People speculated about the ending. Did she live or die? Well it doesn't really matter. I'd say she died but even her character lived her life would have been completely annihilated. She screwed over Eddie. Her ex would abandon her. She'd be out a job or any ability to earn a living...so she might as well have died. Had she survived but her life was now completely in ruins there's no way she'd ever be able to be sober again, except for the fact that she'd have no money or resources left to acquire pills.
