What happened at the end of the penultimate episode? (spoilers)

When Vigilante Jones jumps off the roof, Jackie, who's just swallowed more pills, exclaims 'he flew!'. The sound is a bit echoey to reflect her altered state, and she doesn't scream or react as anyone would at witnessing a suicide. I assume this was not played for comedy, and that Vigilante must have died or been severely injured, but there's no mention in the final episode of the guy who jumped off the roof.

She was extremely high. It was played for dark comedy. Her non-reaction is simplay a reflection of her state of mind.

Vigilante would have died, although it isn't verbally or visually confirmed in the show. The building is 14 (occupied) stories high, not including the observation deck and helipad location. It's over 220' high from the point where Vigilante jumped. He landed on asphalt or a vehicle. He's deadski.
