I think this show would have been better with Kim Katral as Nurse Jacki

Eddie Falco is not that bad bit i think this was more suited for Kim Katral who did a great job playing a brutally honest and sometimes sarcastic woman in sex and city with some great jokes.

Ofcourse kipping her hair style from Sex and the city. She has an easier way with comedy and is not bad at drama she handled pretty well that aspect in The ghost writer. Actually i would have liked her as well in The night Manager getting the role of Angela instead of the actress they got.

But going back to Nurse Jackie, i don't think Eddie has the charm and Charsima of Hugh Laurie and this show would have been her oportunity to make an Impression as the leading star.
She just has the it factor.

Bite your tongue!!! No Edie doesn't have the it factor SHE is the "IT" factor, thank you very much. She "OWNED" the nurse Jackie role. Have you seen all the episodes and seasons? I'm just saying Edie rocks!!! Not to take anything from Kim cattrell , I can't see her in this role.

ive just seen a few episodes to try it after loving House and it didn't got me and it was mainly because of Falco. For me she missed that it factor which makes you love her even if she is a sarcastic bitch.

Maybe if would have seen her first i would have prefred Jackie but compared to Hugh Laurie she failed, no matter what House said inloved him and laughed out loud at his sarcastic jokes at the clinic and mocking his team, Jackie just looks like an ungrateful bitch.

Hugh as House had a much better comeback timing and i think Katral would have had that natural talent.
Mayb ei should try finishing the first season but right now with the first 5 episodes didn't do it for me.
The series as a whole lacks the stylish look of House, its weird but it looks kind of cheap even if its a cable show, House looked with muhc more budget.

Ohara looks like she comes from Jersey Shore and so did Jackie's boss.

While I very much like Kim Katrell, I think she has a bit of an obvious vanity that would not have suited the roll. I think that Edie Falco is a beautiful woman, but her attractiveness has not driven her roles. Through out the seven seasons, Falco's appearance transitions through many different "looks", which serve as visual cues to what's happening in the story line, but don't seem like they there to bolster her character. Having JUST finished my week and a half of binge watching (hello flu!!!), I can not imagine anyone else coming close to or improving on Jackie.
