S2 sucks

Yeah, just finished ep 3 and I’m really not impressed so far. I was expecting more from stormfront, she seemed like a bad Tina Fey impersonation. They really sabotaged that character.

Also the fact that they haven’t dealt with the cliffhanger from season 1 is pretty frustrating. It seems like the weekly thing is just a crutch for the bad writing of this season.

It's not terrible, but it's not as good as the previous season.

It also seems like they have reduced the effects budget?

Less effects (mostly like decapitations and things like that instead of the superpowers)
and Butcher is barely on the first 3 episodes released so far... Urban is the most famous
cast member and his role has been reduced, the first episodes focus mostly on Hughie, Starlight and Homelander
(who has just been hanging with his son, drinking Madelyn's leftover milk and wondering inside their building).

Actually I like the story. Shaping of the boys so to speak.
What I detest is them trashing the soul of the comic - that obscene, irreverent, funny mayhem. We had a taste of it for the first 3 series of season 1 but then they started digging into characters and not in a fun way + adding modern politics and crap.

I've only seen the first 3 episodes, but so far the story seems fine.

The episodes are too slow though.

Not read the comic storyline but I'm never a fan of adaptions changing genders (Stormfront) for no reason, other than woke points.
