Pretty average
Anthony Starr and Erin Moriarty do all the heavy lifting in terms of acting (don’t get me started on Karl Urban’s awful British accent).
In fact, The Seven are the most compelling characters in the show - The Boys themselves are completely boring. If the series had been purely about Starlight negotiating her new found fame and the realization that superheroes were scumbags, I’d have been fine with it.
The writers of the series managed to eliminate the dumber and cruder stuff from the comic, but also complicated the plot for the worse. Judging by this and “Preacher”, I don’t think Seth Rogen and co. actually understand what works in Garth Ennis’ comics.
