Anyone think the Homelander actor would've made a great Captain America in the MCU?

He looks more like the Captain America from the comics than Chris Evans ever did.

I liked Chris Evans as Captain America..
Check out Antony Starr in Banshee...He doesn't even look like himself as Homelander.

Anthony Starr would be great as an annoying parody version of Captain America, just as he's great here as an annoying parody version of Superman.

But Chris Evans owned and defined Captain America in the MCU, same as Downey did with Stark. It's hard for me to imagine anyone else in that role.

Besides, having only seen Starr in this, it's hard for me to imagine him playing a "straight man" version of essentially the same character he's playing here.

I agree about Captain America and Stark..Some things you just don't mess with even in jest....

But if you like this show you should give Banshee a shot. It's also a bit over the top... but in a more dramatic way and is very entertaining. Antony Starr owns Banshee's Lucas Hood ..

Not at all. CGI is not advanced enough to make him look black or female. Perhaps in 10 years from now. Right now, he doesn't fit the requirements for the role.

He would be perfect. Cap was pretty emo in the comics, always whining about missing his life and not having a life and threatening to quit, Antony Star would murder it.
