Sequel?

I'd like to see The Lincoln Lawyer in a new adventure!

The book's sequel, "The gods of guilt", features Gloria the prostitute Mickey befriends as well as Hector Montoya, a Mexican drugs cartel member, so maybe Connelly wrote it with a follow up in mind. I hope so!

That's actually the fifth or sixth book in the series the books actual follow up is Brass Verdict which I believe is about his defense of a hollywood producer if I remember correctly.

That or finish the book series on TV. Unfortunately, I doubt McConaughey is particularly interested in franchise work at this point; he's mostly signing up for stand-alone dramas (Free State of Jones, and another legal drama about some wine bottle? Plus he's got that Gus Van Sant movie coming later this year).

But I'd certainly love to see him come back. The role fits him to perfection, letting him roll with his "McConaughisms" with an extra grit you wouldn't see in something like A Time to Kill.

I read an interview with Matthew that stated he is interested in the sequel and it is being written. It will combine two books.

So we'll see.

It lists the Lincoln Lawyer 2 here, with a page. I looked on MM page and it says he's filming another movie right now, hopefully we will see LL2 with an "in production" status soon!
