Is this better than Predators?

I also agree that Predators is the second best, with Predator 2 being next, then Prey.

I used to really dislike Predators, but it's a fucking masterpiece compared to this.

For me Prey is the best in the franchise.

From what I gather the common consensus from most people is that Prey is either second or third best. With the original being ranked as the best for most people with some people ranking Predator 2 and/or Predators above Prey.

It's second place alright, after The Predator, as worst in the franchise. Nothing can be worse than The Predator.
And I agree, Predators is second best.

I think it's slightly better than Predators. I feel like the cast is more likable, vs the cast of Predators, while cool varied backgrounds never really clicked for me. Also, the Predator is this feels more threatening vs the super Predator in Predators. Also the action is better framed and lighted, vs Predators was really visibly dark.

Just saw this one. Certainly a contender for the number two spot! My favorite thing about this one, is how this Predator got its hands dirty: hand to hand close quarter combat in its hunting scenes. I think this movie had the best hunting sequences.

Predator design was a bit lacking though. At times the lower body was a bit too human rather than lizard like which was sloppy, but overall you could really see how much more brutal this Predator was. Strength was a little hard to believe given how much sleeker/leaner they made it.

I did miss that iconic soundtrack, but I understand they were going a different way -- and for the most part they pulled it off.

In no way is Prey better than Predators on any level.

I would rate it above Predators but below Predator 2 as third best in the franchise. Predators has a cool idea and a great cast but it somehow doesn't fulfil the promise and has some really stupid character motivations that bring the movie down.
