Seen this movie Before... eddie murphy.. vanessa williams.. but it might be good for a few laughs...

Oh dear... not sure where you're getting that connection, but Spread could not really be further away from Boomerang. Spread isn't necessarily even a comedy - it's a drama with a slightly dark comic edge to it. Perhaps at the very basic concept level the two might be similar, but that's where it ends.
