People using people

I liked it, especially the ending, how Kutcher's character comes back to Heche's home to give them some pizza. She already has a new "boyfriend", some hot guy who is mainly interested in her only because she's giving him the high life. That leads me to believe that she was using him as much as he was using her. No woman in the world is going to fall for Kutcher's cheap tricks and twenty-six point strategy... unless she wants to fall for it on purpose, thinking "why not? let's enjoy him while he lasts!"

Even more, Heather tried to use Nikki, but she failed because he was not rich. But Samantha really used Nikki: she put up with him until she got tired of him. Good for her!

Except for the fact that Samantha still wanted him to stay. Nikki was the one that finally started to grow up a bit.

Sorry to burst your feminist fantasy.

Maybe she liked him a little more that what she expected herself. I don't know, but I still think that she turned the tables around. He thought he was going to use her, but she ended up using him instead.

Did you even watch the movie? She wanted him to stay even after everything she knew. He definitely used her. The ending wasn't supposed to signify that she "won" in any way. She just kept doing what she did, and he was supposed to have 'evolved' in a sense, even though he wasn't exactly living the good life. In other words, living that vapid superficial life is no way to actually live.

Get off from your high horse! Yes, I watched the movie, and I stand by my interpretation.

reply

High horse? You misinterpreted the entire ending of the film. It has nothing to do with me being right. The ending is not ambiguous. You are flat out wrong. I am not boasting.
