Getting tired of seeing cougars paired up with men that look a lot younger. She looks like she is old enough to be his grandmother. She looks 20 years older and he looks 10 years younger. The odd couple ruined the movie. Girls age a lot faster than men. Heche looks too old and needs to be paired with a much older man. Ashton looks incredible though.

Well, . . . I think the point of this story was that Nicky and Samantha were NOT right for each other. They weren't even a couple. They were using each other for a time, and then it was over.
The point of this movie, as I saw it, was that Ashton's character was using his looks to get things from women. It's easier doing that than getting a real job and working for a living like everyone else. The women who have money and are willing to pay men for sex are usually older and have high salaried-jobs (Anne Heche's character is a partner in a law firm.) Los Angeles has a lot of high-salaried career women, and many of them are over 40.
This movie is not a romantic comedy, so Nicky and Samantha were never going to end up together, living happily ever after. It's possible that this role was offered to Demi Moore, Ashton's wife. This is conjecture on my part, but why wouldn't Demi want to play Samantha? Probably because it's not very flattering to be called the "older woman". However Anne Heche swallowed her pride, took the role and did a nice job with it.
She looks fantastic by the way, but they might have used body doubles in some of the nude scenes.
I doubt they used body doubles. Anne Heche was crazy hot. I'd bone her all day over some of these younger actresses(like Kristen Stewart lol) and I'm 22.

shareI came into this movie a little late; could not get into it - it looked uninteresting, but all these ridiculous comments about age are just that - ri-dic-u-lous. Anne Heche is 9 yrs older than Ashton Kutcher; that is hardly anything to make note of & I think Demi Moore is 15 yrs older. Me thinks people are getting the movie characters smixed up with real life.

Older people are usually much more established, financially stable and have nice houses, like Anne did, and like Heather's husband did. The question is, is a youthful person better off settling for love, or for money?

second of all, by definition a cougar is much older than the guys she preys upon.
