Two guys downstairs

Near the beginning there are two gang members downstairs who lock the front door. Do we see these two guys ever again or do they just disappear?

I think they become zombies and the old man kills them.

The black guy is spotted as a zombie, in the scene when they go downstairs to the lobby of the building. Right before the undead break through the glass and enter.

Also in a quick shot outside the bldg earlier in the film, you can see a glimpse of that same guy reanimating and getting up from the ground.

He's the one the cops kill before entering the complex.
