So many zombie movies coming out?
Does that mean we are off the whole vampire craze for now?

Zombie movies have always been ubiquitous in the horror genre. Since as far back as the '50s, or even further back. So even if vampire movies are mainstream right now, zombie movies will always have cyclical times when they rise to mainstream attention and then revert back to consistent output within the horror genre.
I love zombie movies!!! What's ever better is the zombie SHOW "The Walking Dead". Talk about a zombie movie every week! I don't know why I like them so much, I just do.
shareVampire movies are not really horror. They are romances for the most part. You can't get intimate with a zombie. :-)
shareWhen vampire movies are done right they're horror.
They're not supposed to be romantic. When they're like the 30 Days of Night vampires, they are done right. They should be hateful, vile and hate you. Even the original Dracula wasn't looking for romance, he was just pretending to turn you into a slave or food. The best vampires are sociopaths with psychotic tendencies. Actually all monsters are best when they're like that. You can't and aren't supposed to get intimate with zombies, vampires, alien creatures, or werewolves.
Sometimes writers and directors forget that the main reason these monsters are monsters is the fact that they hate us and want to kill and/or eat us. When done right, they love us like we love chicken, fish, and pork.
In my opinion, zombies are the best monsters because they are vile, ugly, stinky, poorly dressed, they don't live in nice places, aren't ashamed at the pain they may cause you, can't be reasoned with, never stop coming at you, have no connection to you, don't care how pretty you are, and just want to rip you apart and eat you. No gray areas. That's scary and not at all romantic. Lol
