not bad but could and should have been so much better

ok so first off i've only watched this once but first thoughts are that it was decent but wasted a great opportunity to be a classic zombie movie.not enough action and not enough bloodshed.it does have one or two great scenes towards the end but the middle section just doesn't have enough zombie kills or zombie gore.what happened to the blood when these guys are blowing the crap out of the zombies with shotguns???maybe i need to give it another go but on first inspection i'm a little disappointed.

i agree with you. It was OK but far from great. And they said it's violent? Come on, I've seen an episode of Supernatural that made me cringe more than La Horde did.

La Horde doesn't pretend to be anything more than an action flick. It has just enough of a storyline to get from A to B. They don't even bother to hint as to how or why the apocalypse comes about, and the devastation is practically instantaneous.

Basically the filmmakers just wanted an excuse to spend 80 minutes shooting at zombies. Which is ok.

No, it's not great but it's certainly better than most zombie flicks (which I know isn't necessarily saying a whole lot). I certainly don't regret spending the time to watch it.

Besides, Aurore (the woman cop) rocked. I think she probably did more damage than the guys.

I enjoyed it.

Not enough action and not enough bloodshed? Are you blind? I don't know what film you watched but this had a lot of gore and action.

Yeah, I'm with you knowtheledge. Maybe we saw the unrated version and the posters saw a censored version because this movie was over the top bloody and gore filled! They used vats of blood and tons of bullets!

All blood and no guts. The least they could've done when they pulled the cop down from the car is ripped his head off and pulled his guts out. Maybe i'm just sick but I wanted a hell of a lot more guts and carnage. Someone compared it to Brain Dead...nowhere near as gory. Not a bad film overall tho.

Big difference between what you should do to fight zombies and what you are doing while fighting zombies. A head is a small target and in the heat of the moment you won't be thinking straight.
