It's a mixed bag with some great ideas, great practical effects, strange ADR, Pacing variations, and a stretched timeframe. Characters aren't terrible. Some do 180's for plot convenience.
It has some great body horror inspired by movies like The Thing, Society, Event Horizon, and Alien.
It's not the best nor the worst. For pacing and ADR issues, the premise and horror make up for it... though it kept going a little too long.
I wish this movie was getting more love and discussion. The atmosphere is just dreadful, and the creature is a thing of pure nightmare. As you mentioned, it does seem to stall a bit here and there. The soundtrack is available on Apple music and is excellent.

I watched the dubbed version of this a few months ago, but from what I can recall, both languages were spoken.

It borrows from many things though, a Ray Bradbury story about mushrooms and the The Thing immediately come to mind.
The language seemed off though and I think I would have preferred it be in Russian with subtitles or have the team being English or American if they wanted to have everyone speak English.
