Wow... A little over dramatic, I think. My husband hates anything to do with sci-fi, and he really liked this film. So, no, it's nowhere near the worst film ever.

This wasn't a sci fi. At least by any useful definition.

It is grossly overrated given what films get 7.3, but not wholly bad.

So the only films that should be shown at the cinema are big budget special effects movies?

I disagree hugely...and so do the cinema going public as this made 10 times its budget back in the theatres alone.

10 Cloverfield is cheap story and I feel I got ripped off.

cheap story? What does that mean? The film is about the mystery and the human interactions.
