How the hell was John Goodman not nominated for 10 Cloverfield Lane?

great reply! 25 years is a ridiculous amount of time.

It's very similar with the Academy Awards and comedy films/actors being snubbed.

Not convinced he deserved it for this film, let down by the director, script, and the rest of the cast.

Don't see Steinfeld nomination being silly, since I wanted her to be nominated in the Actress (Musical or Comedy) category, after seeing the movie. And speaking of sci-fi, Amy Adams from Arrival did get nominated, and Reynolds from Deadpool also.
Still would have liked to see some Goodman love.
