This time please bring Robert Knepper as Freddy!

The guy would be perfect. And NoES needs to mix terror with all the fun it brought in the sequels. I hate any movie that tries too hard to be serious and dark, with characters that no one could care about, lacking any charisma.

Bring Robert Knepper and the right cast and crew, and this would be a huge success. Cast the same shi..tty actors and hire the same incompetent staff and it will hurt even more the franchise.

100% agreed. Knepper would be perfect, basically born for the part!

Yet perhaps he would be considered too old for the part.

When Robert Englund started in the NoES franchise, he was 37 years old. If Robert Knepper were doing the same, he would have done this movie in... 1996.

Robert Knepper in 2015 has the same age Englund had when he did FREDDY VS. JASON, in 2003: 56.

And they not only share the same first name, but same height.

With all things considered, even though Knepper is a great actor and convincing as a villain, maybe, just maybe he will not be considered for being too old. I imagine these people would like to leave the door open for future sequels.

100% agree , I just finished watching prison break a couple of weeks ago and even thought it was a shame he didn't get the role in 2010. He can play twisted and Pervy, with burn makeup he'd be terrifying. I hope age doesn't go against him, would be a damn shame.
