Climax reminded me of Castlevania II: Simon's Quest ending

Well, without having to find Freddy's remains and burn them to ashes (the NES video game did that), the climax where Nancy and Quentin head to the abandoned preschool for the final showdown with Freddy reminded me of Simon's Quest where you go to the ruins of Castlevania and go underground, then you head to the lowest part of the building to face off against Dracula. In this movie, Nancy and Quentin go to Freddy's room in the preschool and have the final fight with him.

Erm, yes. According to that logic, the ending is also totally like "Star Wars - Return of the Jedi": Luke Skywalker goes to the Death Star to have the final fight with Darth Vader and the Emperor.
