It's interesting how they play up the sex deviant angle in this re-make, but it's also a little strange. Freddy literally drools over "Nancy" and "Chris", but while any NORMAL guy would certainly do that with Katie Cassidy or Rooney Mara, I'm not so sure a PEDOPHILE would. Also, I presume the living Freddy molested the boys too, but he doesn't seem to have any interest in the grown male teenagers in this movie even though each one of them is ridiculously attractive too.

I guess when a pedophile is killed he turns into a typically horny heterosexual male. . .

A pedophile is someone who likes little children. Someone who likes teenagers (like NANCY and KRIS) is an ephebophile. A person can be both. There's also a lot of people who like teenagers and adults. Besides, in the final nightmare, FREDDY makes NANCY wear the dress she wore when she was little, so maybe he was imagining her as a 5-year-old.
