quick review, mucho mojo...
just watched "Cold in July" on demand, *beep* genius, been waiting for this movie forever, that was everything I ever wanted in a Lansdale movie, from the unpredictable turns and great dialogue and yeah Don Johnson definitely stole the show, Jim Bob Luke was the role he was born to play, and Sam *beep* Shepard, so good, and of course Michael C Hall, always amazing, but it would've all been nothing without that brilliant Lansdale less-is-more writing, 8.4 on imdb, I gave it a 10, the line "as far as I know" toward the end will haunt me forever, I had to read the ending of the book again to see if that was a Lansdale line, Nick Damici channeled what could've been a Lansdale line, so excited to finally see the work of the man I've followed for over 20 years brought to the screen in the way I saw it when I read the book back in the day, taut and to the point and pulling no punches, mucho mojo to the max...
