I really don't understand
how they can make New York look like Houston Texas in July or August.
sharehow they can make New York look like Houston Texas in July or August.
shareKingston in upstate NY looks a lot like an East Texas town. Saw a tweet from Cold In July author Joe Lansdale remarking on this.
shareHow can it open Jan. 18th?!
That makes me happy but that's hard to believe.
Hall needs it, after the disaster Dexter, season 8 was.
Oh it's at Sundance? Lucky or good?
While I admit it wasn't great, season 8 wasn't as bad as the majority of people say. At least for me. The finale lacked a little, but overall I enjoyed it.
Have a good one.
Hated Season 8 too, but I doubt it will hurt his career.
And there's good buzz on "Cold In July". The director is on the "one-to-watch" list since his last film "We are what we are". And it's a character-driven action film, which should mean a different kind of showcase for MCH.
It may resemble it, sans the terrain as a dry arid climate, but the locals sure as hell won't sound like an East Texas town.
shareI've read from viewers that watched all 8 ssns at once for the first time liked it real well. While the ones who watched it through its 8 year run hated the last season. It depends.
shareI don't want to go into a long analysis of the characters or story of Dexter but after season five, the writers absolutely destroyed the characters and turned Debra into a fool, turned Dexter into a piece of cardboard.
I'm still looking forward to this movie.
Because it's cold in July in "Cold in July"!
