But at a certain point, they expect you to support yourself. But being criminals they back slide and use their new identities to commit new crimes. Steve Martin made a comedy about this called My Blue Heaven. He and his family are relocated to a San Diego suburb from New York city where he stands out like a sore thumb.
Eventually he discovers other relocated criminals in the area. They quickly begin commiting new crimes.
