Are they really that easy to manipulate? This movie makes them seem pointless.

I think that's the point. You're never truly safe. And Ben was very experienced in such crime!

What was with the scene where the old man went out the kids bedroom window, and then Michael C Hall goes to the window and closes it, but the WINDOW HAS BARS ON IT!?!?!?

Did the director just not care? Or did he not notice it, and decide later that it didn't matter?
