As a film lover, I live for movies like this. I also grew up in a small but unusually violent town in the 80s, so this hit me on many levels. This just kicked my ass out of left field and I love it when that happens. Also gotta love the White Lion outro song! I am just shocked this film hasn't recieved more attention as it is highly rated, and most people seem to enjoy it. While it isn't perfect, I'd say the imperfection, while still being a nail biting good time, make it all the much more impressive. Don Johnsons character felt authentic, Sam Shepard is always a hoot to see in anything, and Dexter sure did a great job of changing his style a bit for the film. I highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of neo-noir/80s thrillers/southern crime dramas. I'd give it a rock solid 8/10.

I agree. I lived in a small corrupt town in Texas in the 80's and there were a lot of strange violent occurrences. I really dug this movie, very suspenseful and the escalating horror seemed logical somehow. If not for the excellent performances by the 3 main characters it could have been an awful mess.

I agree. Very good film. Different than most stuff that is released these days - and that's a good thing. 8/10.

It looks a bit sweaty in there so you may need to apply baby powder Zapp Brannigan

hahahaha mentally handicapped if you think this movie is any good...dont you even care about something called script or story that makes any sense?

Just because you were unable to follow it does not mean that others could not.
