This Movie Was Good Until....

....Don Johnson showed up and mugged for the cameras the rest of the way.

Oh shaddup, he was the highlight in an otherwise boring flick.

I would have to agree with the person who posted this.
It became a little light with the Don Johnson character. It could have been a really good film (like 8mm) but somehow got muddled with too many things thrown in with no explanation. I found there were too many plot holes to really enjoy it.
This main character is a mild mannered framer FFS who is trying to protect his family throughout, but then chooses to get in the line of fire when really, he doesn´t have to.
I found his character very unbelievable.
The movie could have been better staying with the suspense and thriller rather than turning a little light half way through.

LOL - no disrespect to DJ, but I totally agree, and was thinking the same thing while watching the movie.

I could NOT AGREE MORE!

I like Don, and most people that are angry at this thread are just defending him because they like him, but the truth is that he was ALL WRONG for this part. His tone really killed all the suspense that had been built, and turned the back half of the movie into a circus (although it still had some writing issues.)

I was actually enjoying the movie before that.

reply

Couldnt agree more but its more a writing/direction issue, not Don Johnson...he just acts as he is told to act and he did a fine job, but his character was all wrong in this movie.

I thought same as well, after the Jim Bob's entry I kind of lost interest.
