Just saw it

There was a Nielsen viewing for the movie in my home town, and a friend invited me along as their guest. The movie was pretty decent-- I think it was missing the exact ingredients to make a classic, but it's Robert Redford, and he's almost always solid. There was a whimsical nature of a man his later years questioning the comfort of always doing what was expected, and deciding to change it up and make an impossible journey. The movie was effective in that regard, giving me the same thought about my own life and doing something out of the ordinary.

Overall, not bad at all, but if they tightened up the dialogue a little bit in some areas, they may be able to improve it. There was some parts of the movie where Bryson seemingly attacks Katz out of nowhere-- you expect this sort of thing when they've been hiking together for so long, but a meaningful transition to these scenes would have been appreciated.
