A most flattering depiction of Bush as President

Josh Brolin makes Bush seem like not too bright, but a strong and masculine figure, brash, headstrong and angry at not being appreciated. This is just not the energy projected by George W. Bush, in real life, he comes out a Alfred E. Neuman trying to play at being president. As a result, the whole movie rings false, you situations are realistic, the issues also, as is the script ... but it comes out much more flattering with Josh Brolin's rugged features and strong willed temperament. Josh Brolin is angry at not being appreciated, George W Bush is not angry, he is wounded, a damaged and incapable child yearning for respect. So, I believe the scenes were factual enough, but they played out all wrong. So, it's a casting problem, maybe they should have engaged Justin Bieber to play Bush, that would have worked better (OK, that was a joke, but an actor who with a hurt child in his eyes, someone who can look part adult and act as a teen).

Also, the movie presents the war as being about oil. About the Cheney wanting the US to occupy the Middle East and milk it for centuries to come, with Bush pretending to the nationa that it is a security issue. In real life, it was neither security, nor oil. What it is about is the $6tn that the US is due to spend for the war. This money is going to companies affiliated with the Bush familiy, and it is possible that even George W. Bush did not know that this was the objective, that he was "sold" the oil story and told to push the terrorist agenda, which he likes. The war was about robbing the American people to the tune of $6tn, not about stealing Iraqi oil, that would be a bonus, an alibi so that people would not understand that it was America being screwed, not just the Iraqis.
