There's something I didn't quite understand: why was Tamara so much against the call-girl thing / living in the fat pimp's flat?
I mean she was already working as a prostitute in his brothel, what could be worse than that?
I understand there wouldn't have been any movie in this case, but still..?
First of all it's terrible from a business perspective because the guy is so vague about it. She'll only be paying a "little more" in rent?! She'll still have to work in the brothel, but "we'll see"?! At a minimum the guy wants to have sex with her as his kept woman for free (and why not his friends' too?). And she would have to end her relationship with Alex.
Second, a brothel is a public place and fairly safe, while anything goes with "special" clients in a private setting controlled by someone else. And after the pimp finds out that no one is "looking after her" he starts preparing her by "breaking her in", which reveals what he is planning...
She would be isolated, number one. Also his remarks that he doesn't see her as a prostitute are off, so all his remarks are suspect. She was proven right when he brought in a guy to 'break her'.
