Can Ben Affleck make a movie without Boston references?

Anything this guy is involved in anymore is set in Boston, or has people with annoying Boston accents, or features characters wearing the logos of Boston's many overrated sports franchises. We get it Ben, you're from Boston. Now when I see Ben Affleck in a movie, I don't see the character he's playing. It takes me out of the movie and all I see is some actor from Boston. No one but the wretched residents of that dreary washed up burg likes anything about Boston anyway.

Can Spike Lee make a movie without New York references? People work from their experience. And I'm sure it's doing a lot for Boston's economy.

Es todo bueno!

As a film enthusiast, the reason he gets these acting jobs is mainly because of his accent. That is one thing he can do very well. I also thought he was pretty good in this film.

As a person from Boston, your an ignorant *beep*

Plus, there are tons of Mass. tax incentives. Makes it easier to make it work.

Boston's many overrated sports franchises

Seven championships by four teams since 2002, no city comes even close.

Probably, but it won't bother me if he can't.

~"Chris, am I weird?"
~"Yeah, but so what? Everybody's weird."

I don't think he can. Much like Stephen King can't write a book without the location being Maine. However King sells books better than Affleck sells movies.

True, his career's not had the range as his buddy Matt Damon's has. But the Boston thing seems to work for him. So what? As for "overrated" sports franchises, do your homework. Google before posting.

As for "wretched residents," well, at least I don't hide behind a message board and anonymously put down an entire group of people.

Boston's got its problems but is far from "washed up." Thanks for the concern though. Smooches!
