Seems to me with Refn you either love the movie or hate it. The two of his films that I have seen (Drive and Bronson), have been awesome. Refn really knows how to make a good film. I'll have to check out Only God Forgives next and see what I think of it.
See I loved Drive. OGF was very good, but it was almost impossible to live up to the expectations set by Drive. Bronson however didn't do very much for me. I'm glad it was made because it let Refn cut his teeth and learn a lot before doing Drive. But as a whole, this was somewhat disappointing...

Totally agree. I really enjoyed this film. I never buy films on iTunes, but this is one of the two that I keep on my iPhone for long trips, I can watch it repeatedly. I think Tom Hardy is a good actor as he can go from Bronson (where he totally changed his voice) to a nancy boy, as in Inception.

Yea Tom Hardy is awesome. I really like his performance in this and in Warrior. This movie always has me laughing, especially the dance scene in the asylum that scene always gets me!
I absolutely love this movie and have watched it numerous times. Drive, I did not like; but I think it really has more to do with the main actors than the film itself.
Hardy, has so far been awesome in anything I've seen him in. Gossling, I couldn't buy into Gossling's tough guy, bad @$$ persona; it just didn't sell well with me. He sold the kind hearted and gentle but mysterious introvert charm really well though but that's about all I could buy into.
As for REfn, I do love the tone of his films. He always seems to pick a quirky but awesome soundtrack which i totally dig
