Better than Enemy?

In your opinion is this movie better than Enemy?
Cheers.

Enemy is a masterpiece. Demolition is just a good movie.

reply

Both incredible films, but Enemy is one of the all time greats.

Two pretty different movies. Enemy has that extra mystical/thriller something about it.
Demolition more of a normal movie but about the psyche of how we act and being human but with something extra that not many of those movies can display well enough overall. Made me cry, but I might just be too depressed and can relate with many things.

It's funny, cuz I've been down for the past year and this movie made me think but laugh out loud at a lot of things JG would say.

I was taking a sip of water at the time Jake said (about the restroom door), 'yes that would be my work' and I choked from laughing.

I loved Enemy but I though Demolition was a masterpiece, different films of course but I liked this better.

reply

I agree. I watched Demolition last night and thought it was surprisingly brilliant!
I wasn't expecting such emotion. And JG gave an outstanding performance.
I liked Enemy a lot too but this one was a lot better IMO.

It's another great acting performance from Jake and a good cast. but it's nowhere near as good as Enemy.

reply

I preferred it to Enemy, personally.

reply

Much better than Enemy. Not that Enemy was a bad movie but my expectations were propably too high after watching Prisoners, which is an amazing movie.

Dorothy Mantooth is a saint!

reply

Personally, I'd say yes, but they are two totally different beasts, this is an exploration of grief, the other is a spin on the Doppelganger theme. Both good, both original, but Demolition created a stronger effect on me while watching.
I will however pint out that I plan to rewatch them both.

reply

Well Enemy is amazing and this made me want to rip my own face off and throw it at the screen so er no.

reply

Enemy was spectacular. I still watch that movie from time to time. I think it is one of Jake's best performances.

Always look for the positive in every situation.
