Meandering

I like this show but this season it feels like it's going no where. We are 7 episodes in and it doesn't feel like anything has happened.

I disagree. The Russians and AB have formed an unexpected alliance, a bunch of Eastern European prostitutes wound up in the river, the Crips are losing control of the prison, Kyle’s SWAT career is going well and Big Bunny is still top dog on the block.

I know what you're saying, I get all of that, but it still feels like nothing is happening. Maybe this is all setup for something that will happen in the last two episodes, but so far I've been underwhelmed this season. It just hasn't been an interesting story thus far.

Eh, opinions are a dime a dozen. Who’s to say who’s right or wrong?

But for real, is Bunny Washington not the most entertaining gangster in years?

Sure, he’s a killer and a dope seller but damn me if he is he not somewhat charming.

He probably should be in prison of course but he’s somehow likable.

reply

Definitely not the most entertaining, but interesting, and certainly charming.
Maybe I'm just judging this show (and its characters) by too high a standard. I'm judging this show by standards like Breaking Bad, and Sons of Anarchy, and Dexter, where I probably should be judging it more by something like Bosch or Godfather of Harlem, this way I won't be as disappointed.

Well, we seem to enjoy a lot of the same shows. Good talking Amigo or Amiga✌️

reply

It's amigo in my case, and Likewise. ✌️

reply

I don't think it's that nothing is happening, it's just that so much of what's happening feels the same. All of the sides make moves and then Mike meets with everybody over and over.

reply

I think you're right. That's what it is, it feels repetitive.
