Yes it is fairly entertaining at times, but I can think of so many better movies with lower scores. This film tries so hard to be a great epic like Lord of the Rings but it only succeeds at being a cartoon parody of Tolkiens world. The constant misplaced humor and cartoon-style renditions just totally kill this series for me, never mind the ridiculous amounts of pointless filler crammed in to stretch the length of each film.

shareI personally give them all a 7 (The Hobbit trilogy that is). But on IMDb I give them an 8 only because they deserve a higher rating since there are a lot of films here that have an undeserving high rating, so why not these?
